Job Requirements
- At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred
- Or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience
- Prior multi-brand, multi-market, and complex sales experience required
- Must have a valid driver's license in applicable state
- Must possess highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Must have thorough experience with professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
- Must show strong analytical skills and strategic vision in sales deployment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organization and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse people and solve complex problems
- Requires advanced knowledge of sales, marketing, and hospitality principles
- Must handle high pressure situations well
- Must understand financial information and basic arithmetic
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients and ownership groups
- Influence the development of hotel sales and marketing plans to maximize enterprise value while maintaining brand identity
- Evaluate and track hotel revenue performance against budget and benchmarks
- Monitor group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue
- Oversee and audit sales automation efforts to maximize revenue
- Manage the division's annual budget and marketing plans to meet revenue and profit goals
- Initiate and develop sales trips to key markets and coordinate on-property sales efforts
- Conduct outside sales calls, tours, and entertain clients
- Understand contract content and negotiate terms
- Develop market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set strategies
- Monitor production of top accounts and evaluate market trends
- Conduct hotel visits to assess sales leadership and compliance with company standards
- Comply with individual and team goals and budgeted metrics
- Train Directors of Sales to capitalize on sales opportunities
- Partner with sales leadership and HR for recruitment, training, and performance management
- Apply budgeting and forecasting principles
- Attend and conduct meetings and training
- Maintain communication across hotels and departments
- Maintain strong communication with General Manager regarding sales associates
- Travel weekly as required
