The company is led by an executive team of seasoned hospitality veterans who bring advanced knowledge and strategic insight to drive the success of each property under their management. SHG's operational approach emphasizes superior performance margins and profitability, leveraging innovative solutions to address the unique challenges that each hotel and restaurant within its diverse portfolio encounters. This dedication to excellence places SHG among the leading hotel management organizations, renowned for upholding strong collaboration, integrity, and customer-focused service standards.
The role of Regional Director of Operations at SHG is a critical leadership position that oversees multiple hotels and restaurants. This role is designed for an individual who excels in dynamic, hands-on operational management supported by extensive industry knowledge and leadership acumen. Reporting directly to the Operations leadership team, the Regional Director of Operations will supervise General Managers across various properties, acting as both a mentor and resource provider. The position demands considerable travel, with a requirement to be on-site at properties for at least 90% of the time. The Regional Director will perform property inspections, lead training sessions, support management teams, and assist with onboarding new hotel assets. This proactive, boots-on-the-ground approach ensures the consistent application of SHG's operational standards and values.
The role also emphasizes strategic market analysis, continuous improvement planning, and revenue optimization. Effective engagement with property owners and operators is crucial for success, alongside vigilant monitoring of guest satisfaction and revenue metrics. The Regional Director will prioritize open communication, facilitate collaborative problem-solving, and drive initiatives that enhance both customer experience and financial performance. Responsibilities extend to managing financial aspects of properties, including profit and loss oversight, forecasting, and budgeting. Additionally, this role may require direct involvement in operational tasks occasionally, demonstrating a willingness to lead by example.
Candidates for this role must have a demonstrated history of hotel management experience, particularly in general manager positions, and possess strong skills in project management, communication, technology, and customer relations. The position is travel-intensive and requires a flexible schedule beyond traditional office hours. The compensation for this full-time role starts at $65,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits such as 401(k) matching, health, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts. SHG seeks a committed leader ready to contribute to its ongoing success while fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence across multiple properties.
