Job Requirements
- Possess a Food Safety Manager Certificate or meet regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of food ordering, storage, preparation, and serving preferably in senior care
- High school graduate
- Experience in dining services management
- ServSafe Certified Proctor or Instructor
- Strong customer service skills
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and travel for extended stay support
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of nutritional needs and challenges in assisted living
- Ability to manage budgets for dining expenses
- Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, walk
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and carry heavy objects
- Strong organizational skills
- Maintain a neat and clean public appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in dining services management preferably in senior care
- Food Safety Manager Certificate
- ServSafe Certified Proctor or Instructor
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise staff
- Knowledge of nutritional needs and dietary standards for assisted living residents
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with health laws and regulations
- Supervise preparation and serving of meals
- Hire, train, and manage dining services staff
- Prepare monthly menus suitable for residents dietary needs
- Ensure meal schedules comply with state regulations
- Maintain sanitation standards above federal, state, and local requirements
