Job Requirements

  • Possess a Food Safety Manager Certificate or meet regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of food ordering, storage, preparation, and serving preferably in senior care
  • High school graduate
  • Experience in dining services management
  • ServSafe Certified Proctor or Instructor
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and travel for extended stay support
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of nutritional needs and challenges in assisted living
  • Ability to manage budgets for dining expenses
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, walk
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and carry heavy objects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Maintain a neat and clean public appearance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in dining services management preferably in senior care
  • Food Safety Manager Certificate
  • ServSafe Certified Proctor or Instructor
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and supervise staff
  • Knowledge of nutritional needs and dietary standards for assisted living residents

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with health laws and regulations
  • Supervise preparation and serving of meals
  • Hire, train, and manage dining services staff
  • Prepare monthly menus suitable for residents dietary needs
  • Ensure meal schedules comply with state regulations
  • Maintain sanitation standards above federal, state, and local requirements
