Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year commercial driving experience
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Must be 21 years of age
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements
- Pass road test
- Able to secure new DOT medical card
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- English language proficiency is required
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and other equipment to move product cases/freight
- Must be able to work the assigned schedule required for the position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months to 1 year commercial driving experience
- Foodservice distribution industry experience preferred
- Onboard computer and electronic log system experience such as PeopleNet
- Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience such as POD
- Customer service-related work experience
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet PFG Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) requirements for past 3 years
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements
- Pass road test
- Able to secure new DOT medical card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and other equipment to move product cases and freight
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- English language proficiency is required
Job Duties
- Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
- Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and report safety issues or needed repairs
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight and perform count check of items with customer invoices
- Check and complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly
- Move tractor to loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and secured at all times
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and complete necessary paperwork at end of shift
- Unload equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
- Comply with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements adhering to DOT, state and company policies
- Uphold safety standards and guidelines for proper handling of freight
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all company policies and standards
