The CDL-A Driver position plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of food and food-related products to customers across regional routes with 1-3 day layovers. This role typically involves driving tractor trailers or straight trucks within both intrastate and interstate routes, operating over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop assignments. Drivers are scheduled to work 4-5 days per week with start times generally between 11PM and 3AM. New hires receive comprehensive paid training for five weeks in Portland to familiarize them with company policies, safety standards, and route operations. The role offers a competitive component pay structure averaging between $90,000 and $100,000 annually. Additionally, there is a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for eligible drivers, subject to terms and conditions.

The core responsibility of the CDL-A Driver is to ensure timely, safe, and accurate delivery of foodservice products while adhering strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. Drivers act as the face of the company, maintaining professional communication and building rapport with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Key tasks include conducting safety inspections on vehicles, handling loading and unloading processes, securing freight properly, maintaining accurate paperwork, and complying with all regulatory and company standards.
