The CDL-A Driver role at Performance Foodservice is a critical position within the company’s logistics and transportation operations. These drivers play an essential part in America’s food supply chain by ensuring that food and food-related products are delivered safely and on time to customers. Working primarily on regional routes with 1-3 day layovers and a typical schedule of 4-5 days per week starting between 11 PM and 3 AM, CDL-A Drivers complete routes using tractor trailers or straight trucks. The role involves performing thorough safety inspections of vehicles and trailers following Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, securing freight, and fully adhering to safety and operational standards throughout each delivery route. Drivers also handle paperwork associated with shipments, assist with loading and unloading as necessary, and maintain communication with customers, vendors, and team members in a professional manner to uphold the company’s high standards of customer service and safety.

The position comes with a competitive compensation package including a component pay structure with an average pay range between $90,000 to $100,000, a $10,000 sign-on bonus (subject to terms and conditions), and comprehensive benefits starting from day one.
