The role of Regional Chef at Legends Global is integral to upholding the highest standards of food quality, presentation, operational processes, and sanitation across multiple venues within an assigned geographical region. This position focuses on consistently enhancing culinary offerings by assisting in the implementation and refinement of culinary standards and programs. The Regional Chef will ensure full compliance with the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) food safety protocols and contribute to the continuous development of Legends Culinary Programs, including build sheets and specifications.

A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with the Regional Manager to achieve culinary operational excellence and meet shared goals. The Regional Chef will also provide support for events, ensuring that all food products meet stringent quality standards and any issues are proactively addressed. It is essential for this candidate to work at a high level of culinary standards while training and mentoring others to maintain these elevated expectations. Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are critical as the chef must earn respect across operations personnel and foster a culture of compliance and culinary excellence.

Candidates must demonstrate expert knowledge in HACCP, food safety, menu planning, food cost control, and current industry food trends. Additionally, the ability to manage multiple properties and projects simultaneously is required. The role demands a self-motivated individual who can keep abreast of evolving culinary practices and is passionate about developing the skills and performance of others. Travel is a significant factor in this position, with up to 50% travel expected, particularly during key business transitions, venue openings, and major initiatives. This role is remote/hybrid with travel requirements and offers a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $180,000 to $190,000 plus bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits plan. Job Requirements

  • Degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute
  • Apprenticeship certification from the American Culinary Federation
  • Experience managing multi-unit locations
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and projects
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% annually
  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to mentor and train others
  • Must be compassionate, consistent, and fair

Job Qualifications

  • Degree or certification from an accredited culinary arts institute or apprenticeship certification from the American Culinary Federation
  • Experience in managing multi-unit locations
  • Excellent supervisory, leadership, hands-on management, and coaching skills
  • Good written and verbal managerial communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly
  • Flexibility to travel to and from units located in several states and work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ServSafe Certification, International Food Safety Council
  • Compassionate, consistent, and fair to the needs of employees and the company
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task
  • Willingness to support team members and venues with a hands-on approach when needed

Job Duties

  • Ensure full compliance and effectiveness of the HACCP food safety program
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of Legends Culinary Programs, Build Sheets and Specifications
  • Coordinate and work effectively with the Regional Manager to achieve culinary operational excellence
  • Coordinate support for events as needed
  • Assess food production and quality standards accurately
  • Work at a high level of culinary standards and train others to achieve high culinary standards
  • Gain respect and credibility to influence operations personnel and enforce standards
