The company prides itself on creating memorable travel experiences by combining high-quality food offerings with exceptional service in various airport restaurants. As a global leader, Areas maintains its commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, ensuring a premium experience for guests in each location worldwide.
The Regional Chef position at Areas provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to oversee and elevate kitchen operations across airport-based restaurants. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations and being a vital part of the Concepts and Standards department, the role is full-time and exempt status. The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000 per year. The Regional Chef will play a crucial leadership role, ensuring food quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to health and safety regulations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
This role demands a dynamic leader with a strong culinary background, ideally with over five years of high-volume restaurant experience and at least three years as a Kitchen Manager or Head Chef. Responsibilities include menu planning and execution, team leadership, and cost management related to food and labor. The Regional Chef will be accountable for maintaining compliance with sanitation standards, HACCP protocols, and effective inventory control. Emphasis is placed on creativity in menu development, promoting special events, and motivating kitchen staff through training and performance management.
The ideal candidate will embody a hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering culinary excellence. Knowledge of European cuisine, wine, and Serve Safe certification, alongside strong communication and conflict resolution abilities, adds value. Areas offers a competitive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, and food provisions. The company fosters an inclusive work culture that champions diversity and equal opportunity. The Regional Chef position is an in-person role, with occasional travel required for site visits or meetings related to new openings or operational updates. This is an excellent career progression avenue for culinary professionals passionate about growth and leadership in a prestigious global brand.
