- Valid experience as a cook or similar role
- knowledge of basic food preparation and safety principles
- ability to obtain food safety certification
- basic math and counting proficiency
- good verbal and written communication skills
- physical capability for job demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing
