Your role will involve not only following standardized recipes but also tailoring dishes to meet diverse client needs across multiple Aramark locations. You will lead food preparation by measuring, blending, cutting, and cooking ingredients using a variety of appliances and methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming. Ensuring food quality, safety, and sanitation is paramount as you maintain a clean and germ-free workplace and comply with all company health and safety protocols. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food preparation
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • physical capability for kitchen duties
  • willingness to obtain food safety certification
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles and various cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • ready workstations with all required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use utensils and appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers
  • apply cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, steaming
  • structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to established regulations
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • ensure sanitary and germ-free environment in work areas and utensils
  • deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a cheerful and approachable demeanor
  • comply with Aramark safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • uphold safety measures for organizational resources
