  • basic math skills
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • physical capability for manual tasks and prolonged standing

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and various cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare a wide array of dishes
  • ready workstation with all required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely use utensils including knives
  • operate kitchen appliances like ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, mixers
  • apply cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • portion and present cuisine according to established regulations
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • keep work areas, devices, and utensils sanitary and germ-free
  • deliver excellent customer service with a cheerful demeanor
  • comply with safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation procedures
