Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a cooking or kitchen role
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and handling procedures
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • proficiency in basic math
  • good communication skills
  • physical stamina for lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
  • willingness to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to cook diverse dishes
  • ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use various utensils including knives
  • operate appliances like ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • use cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to regulations
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • keep work areas, utensils, and devices sanitary and germ-free
  • deliver top-notch customer service with a cheerful and approachable demeanor
  • comply with safety protocols emphasizing accurate food safety and sanitation procedures
  • maintain safety measures for organizational resources
