Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a cooking or kitchen role
- knowledge of food safety regulations and handling procedures
- ability to obtain food safety certification
- proficiency in basic math
- good communication skills
- physical stamina for lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
- willingness to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to cook diverse dishes
- ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
- prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
- safely use various utensils including knives
- operate appliances like ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
- use cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to regulations
- maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
- keep work areas, utensils, and devices sanitary and germ-free
- deliver top-notch customer service with a cheerful and approachable demeanor
- comply with safety protocols emphasizing accurate food safety and sanitation procedures
- maintain safety measures for organizational resources
