Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use kitchen utensils including knives
  • operate appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • use various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • structure, enhance, and portion cuisine according to regulations
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • keep work areas, devices, and utensils sanitary and germ-free
  • provide top-notch customer service with a cheerful and approachable demeanor
  • comply with food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ensure safety measures for organizational resources
