Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cooking experience
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • certification or willingness to obtain food safety certification
  • physical stamina to meet job demands
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation and storage
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • good interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to cook diverse dishes
  • ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use various utensils including knives
  • handle appliances such as ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, mixers
  • use different cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, steaming
  • structure, enhance and portion cuisine based on regulations
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • maintain sanitary and germ-free environment in work areas and utensils
  • provide top-notch customer service with a cheerful demeanor
  • comply with safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
  • maintain safety measures for organizational resources
