Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cooking experience
- knowledge of food safety standards
- certification or willingness to obtain food safety certification
- physical stamina to meet job demands
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
- understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation and storage
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- good interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to cook diverse dishes
- ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
- prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
- safely use various utensils including knives
- handle appliances such as ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, mixers
- use different cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, steaming
- structure, enhance and portion cuisine based on regulations
- maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
- maintain sanitary and germ-free environment in work areas and utensils
- provide top-notch customer service with a cheerful demeanor
- comply with safety protocols focusing on food safety and sanitation
- maintain safety measures for organizational resources
