Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience in a professional setting
  • knowledge of kitchen safety standards and food handling procedures
  • physical ability to perform demanding kitchen tasks
  • willingness to follow health and safety policies
  • capability to work in fast-paced environments
  • commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook or related role
  • validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation
  • familiarity with various cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • ready the workstation with all required tools and ingredients
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • safely use utensils including knives
  • operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • apply various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • maintain food quality and safety through proper storage and handling
  • uphold sanitary conditions in work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • provide excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable attitude
  • adhere to Aramark safety protocols and food safety procedures
  • ensure safety measures for organizational resources
