Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in cooking or food preparation
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Effective communication skills
  • Physical stamina for kitchen duties including lifting and prolonged standing

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • Ready workstation with all required tools and ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
  • Safely handle utensils including knives and operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers
  • Use various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Portion and enhance cuisine according to established standards
  • Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage and handling
  • Keep work areas, utensils, and devices sanitary and germ-free
  • Ensure top-notch customer service with a cheerful and approachable demeanor
  • Adhere to Aramark safety protocols and food safety procedures
