Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a culinary role
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and safe knife handling skills
  • Willingness to obtain food safety certification
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Adapt duties and responsibilities to meet varying client requirements and operational needs
  • Follow production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
  • Ready workstation with required tools and ingredients
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Use utensils safely, including knives
  • Operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, cookers, mixers, and cutting machinery
  • Apply cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming to prepare meats and vegetables
  • Structure, enhance, and portion cuisine based on regulations
  • Maintain food quality and safety through proper storage
  • Maintain sanitary and germ-free work environments
  • Deliver top-notch customer service with a cheerful demeanor
  • Comply with safety protocols focused on food safety and sanitation
  • Protect organizational resources by following safety measures
