Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a culinary or food preparation role
- knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and storage best practices
- excellent knife skills and kitchen appliance operation
- ability to follow detailed recipes and production instructions
- food safety certification or willingness to obtain
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- physical ability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods

- knowledge of food preparation principles, varied cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- ability to obtain food safety certification
- basic math and counting skills
- strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- adapting duties and responsibilities to meet client and operational needs
- following production instructions and standardized recipes to prepare diverse dishes
- readying workstation with required tools and ingredients
- preparing ingredients by measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling
- safely using utensils including knives
- handling kitchen appliances such as ovens, cookers, cutting machinery, and mixers
- employing cooking methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- structuring, enhancing, and portioning cuisine according to established regulations
- maintaining food quality and safety through proper storage methods
- ensuring a sanitary and germ-free environment in work areas, devices, and utensils
- delivering excellent customer service with a cheerful and approachable demeanor
- upholding Aramark safety protocols focused on food safety and sanitation
- maintaining safety measures for organizational resources
