Job Description
Pioneer Transportation and Logistics LLC is a dedicated transportation company operating as an Amazon Freight Partner in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) market. With a strong commitment to excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction, Pioneer Transportation serves as a trusted local small business that benefits from the partnership with a global leader like Amazon. This partnership allows Pioneer to leverage Amazon's state-of-the-art branded equipment and cutting-edge technology to deliver superior logistics services. The company culture is built around core values such as safety, integrity, teamwork, discipline, accountability, and long-term stability, aiming to foster a supportive and respectful working environment for its employees.
This role is for Class-A CDL Regional Drivers who will play a pivotal role in the seamless execution of Amazon's Freight Partner Program. Drivers will be based in Fort Worth, Texas, with yard locations in Haslet, Texas, and will contribute significantly to ensuring timely and safe deliveries within the regional route network. Offering a competitive pay rate starting at $22 per hour plus benefits, this position underlines the importance of reliability, professionalism, and a customer-first approach. The shifts available include afternoons, overnights, evenings, weekdays, and weekends with a consistent weekly schedule designed to provide work-life balance.
Pioneer Transportation's drivers operate brand new 2023/2024 sleeper tractors, helping maintain a high standard of equipment quality and comfort. This position involves running 3 to 4 days per week with regional runs that entail 13-14 hours of driving out, a 10-hour mandatory break, and a 13-14 hour return trip. The company emphasizes safety by requiring all drivers to maintain clean driving records and pass necessary drug and alcohol screening tests. Drivers will engage in no-touch freight operations, including drop and hook and live loads, which simplifies the delivery process and minimizes manual handling.
As part of the Amazon Freight Partner Program, although drivers are not employed directly by Amazon, they gain the advantage of working for a respected local transportation company partnered with Amazon. The job entails a W2 employment status offering benefits such as paid time off, health insurance for full-time employees, and performance-based rewards. The role also demands night and weekend availability, and a flexible approach to shifts including day, evening, and night work schedules to meet operational needs.
Pioneer Transportation seeks motivated applicants who meet stringent requirements such as holding a valid Class A Commercial Driver License issued in Texas, being at least 21 years old, and having a minimum of two years driving experience including one year with trailer tractor operation. The company values integrity and expects drivers to comply with federal regulations by maintaining clean motor vehicle records, passing drug and breath alcohol tests, and possessing valid DOT medical cards. Knowledge and comfort with electronic logging devices, communication tools, GPS, and routing applications are also required to ensure smooth coordination on the road.
Working at Pioneer Transportation and Logistics means becoming part of a team-oriented environment that prioritizes safety and reliability while providing opportunities for professional growth and consistent scheduling. Drivers benefit from superior home time policies where they enjoy home time after every two-day shift, consistent work all year, and possible opportunities for additional shifts and overtime based on performance. The company promotes a safe, fast-paced, rewarding, and respectful workplace culture which is important for sustaining employee satisfaction and retaining skilled professionals.
Pioneer Transportation and Logistics LLC is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in its workforce and considers all qualified applicants regardless of age, race, sex, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics. By joining Pioneer Transportation, a driver not only advances their career but also becomes a critical contributor to the logistics excellence supporting the world's largest online retailer. This opportunity is ideal for experienced CDL drivers looking for stability, competitive pay, great benefits, and a positive workplace environment in the Fort Worth area.
