Job Description

NOTUS SOUTH, LLC is a dedicated transportation company specializing in logistics and freight delivery, renowned for its partnership with Amazon Freight Partner program. Positioned in Davenport, FL, this local business integrates the personalized attention and community values of a smaller company with the extensive resources, technology, and benefits typical of a larger organization. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, NOTUS SOUTH primarily hauls Amazon loads featuring state-of-the-art Amazon-branded equipment and technology, including new sleeper cabs designed to enhance driver comfort and efficiency. This blend of advanced tools and a close-knit company environment fosters a supportive and productive workplace for drivers.

The company is currently seeking full-time, motivated Class A CDL Over the Road (OTR) drivers, specifically SOLO2 drivers, to join their team. These positions offer stable employment with a consistent daily schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off, ensuring a dependable work-life balance. Drivers will benefit from earning approximately $25.00 per hour along with additional compensation including bonuses, overtime pay, and 401(k) retirement plans, reflecting NOTUS SOUTH's commitment to attracting and retaining highly qualified professional drivers. The estimated annual earnings for these drivers average between $65,000 and $75,000 when factoring in overtime and bonuses, making these roles highly competitive in today's trucking job market.

In this role, drivers will be responsible for hauling primarily no-touch freight exclusively for Amazon. One of the key benefits of the job is the schedule design that provides drivers the opportunity to be home every other night and enjoy four consecutive days off after their work week. This approach supports quality time with family and friends and reduces the stress often associated with long-haul trucking careers. Additionally, the routes typically involve one night on the road per shift, blending the benefits of OTR driving with greater personal time compared to more intensive long-haul schedules.

The role demands proactive engagement in maintaining Amazon's high standards of service. Drivers play a crucial and respected part in ensuring timely, accurate delivery of packages, ultimately exceeding customer expectations. The use of advanced technology such as GPS and smart phone applications helps ensure routes are efficiently managed and communication is seamless. NOTUS SOUTH fosters a culture where safety comes first, backed by strict requirements including clean driving records and successful background checks, necessary to maintain a dependable, professional team.

Working with NOTUS SOUTH as an Amazon Freight Partner offers unique advantages including W2 employment which provides paid time off, health and dental insurance, and competitive 401(k) plans. The combination of benefits, consistent earnings, and a well-balanced schedule makes these driving positions highly attractive to CDL holders looking for rewarding, stable careers in the freight transportation sector.
