Job Description
The General Surgical Tables (GST) division is a specialized segment within a medical device company focused on providing state-of-the-art operating room equipment to healthcare providers across Latin America. The company is committed to advancing surgical outcomes by delivering innovative products such as surgical tables, surgical lights, and surgical booms. Known for its dedication to quality, precision, and customer satisfaction, the company enjoys a strong presence in the medical equipment market and is continuously expanding its footprint to meet increasing demands in Latin American territories. The organization prides itself on its dynamic work culture, collaborative environment, and commitment to professional development, making it an employer of choice for individuals passionate about healthcare and business growth in the medical technology field.
The Regional Business Manager, GST Latin America, plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s business success within the Latin American region. Reporting directly to the President and COO, this exempt-level position is designed for an experienced sales and business development professional with a deep understanding of the operating room equipment market. Initially, the candidate will undergo 3-6 months of intensive on-site training, after which the role transitions to a remote working arrangement. This position assumes full responsibility for the profit and loss (P&L) of the Latin American business segment, focusing primarily on surgical tables with potential expansion into other OR equipment lines.
Key responsibilities encompass developing robust business strategies, sales quota planning, distributor management, and market analysis to ensure the achievement of sales targets and growth objectives. The Regional Business Manager will lead efforts to train distributors, optimize pricing strategies, foster relationships with key opinion leaders and surgeons, and devise incentive programs to drive product adoption. The role demands frequent travel throughout Latin America to engage with clients, distributors, and key stakeholders directly, aiding in the negotiation of deals and representation of the company at industry events.
Beyond sales, the role involves comprehensive business development duties, including database creation for market insights, collaboration with customer service and marketing departments, and exploring new distribution channels and growth opportunities across various markets and product segments within Latin America. Coordination with regulatory bodies, ongoing project management, and contributing to corporate planning meetings form an integral part of the job scope.
Candidates pursuing this role should exhibit bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish, possess sound knowledge of surgical table products, and demonstrate high energy, self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills. The work environment ranges from office settings to operating rooms, requiring adaptability and compliance with healthcare protocols such as immunization standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the healthcare landscape across Latin America by driving the success of advanced surgical equipment in a fast-evolving industry.
