Recognized for combining the magic of film with exceptional customer service and state-of-the-art technology, Regal provides guests with optimal sight and sound experiences enhanced by premium food and beverage services. As a prominent player in the entertainment industry, Regal continually innovates its operations and maintains rigorous standards to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for employees and customers alike.
The role offered at Regal is that of a full-time Theatre Manager, a position pivotal to the smooth and efficient operation of a theatre location. Theatre Managers carry a wide array of responsibilities, from staff supervision and guest relations to inventory control and maintaining compliance with both corporate policies and local regulations. They are actively involved in the hiring, training, mentoring, and scheduling of employees in various theatre departments such as food and beverage, box office, kitchen, and projection. This role demands a keen focus on safety, quality control, and guest satisfaction, while ensuring that daily operations align with Regal’s brand standards and regulatory requirements.
The Theatre Manager must possess strong leadership skills, as they are responsible for fostering an environment of professionalism and teamwork. They oversee risk management aspects including employee and guest safety, loss prevention, food handling, alcohol service, and prompt incident reporting. The Theatre Manager plays an essential role in managing the theatre’s financial health through diligent cost control measures, including payroll management and inventory oversight of food, beverage, janitorial supplies, and technical equipment. Maintaining the theatre’s physical condition and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed correctly also fall under their purview.
This position requires hands-on capabilities with projection technology and sound systems to preserve the quality of movie presentations. Additionally, the Theatre Manager ensures compliance with health department regulations, manages schedules for optimized staffing, controls inventory to prevent shortages and spoilage, and monitors all food and beverage preparation to meet Regal’s quality standards. Engaging positively with guests, handling complaints, and promoting features and showtimes further enrich the guest experience and boost theatre profitability.
The Theatre Manager role offers a competitive pay rate of $26.25 per hour and an excellent benefits package that includes medical, prescription, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and various supplemental insurance options. Vacation time, sick leave, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, and perks such as free movie passes and discounted concessions are also provided, promoting a healthy work-life balance and rewarding dedication and service.
Candidates considering this role should have a degree in business or an equivalent educational background, coupled with at least two years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in a high-volume hospitality or luxury theatre environment. Candidates should have completed or be in the process of completing management certification and hold relevant food handling and alcohol service certifications. Effective communication, problem-solving, computer literacy, and the ability to perform under pressure are fundamental skills required for success in this demanding yet rewarding managerial position.
