Job Description
Regal Cinemas is a premier movie theater chain dedicated to providing an exceptional cinematic experience to millions of guests nationwide. Known for its state-of-the-art auditoriums, cutting-edge technology, and friendly service, Regal operates many locations offering a diverse range of films and amenities that cater to movie lovers of all ages. The company values inclusivity, teamwork, and above all, guest satisfaction, making it a leading name in the entertainment industry. Regal places great emphasis on employee development, offering various training programs and opportunities for career advancement within the hospitality and entertainment sectors.
The role of a Team Member at Regal Cinemas is critical in delivering the ultimate movie-going experience. This position is versatile, with team members classified based on the individual theatre’s needs and employee availability, including variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. Team members are primarily responsible for ensuring guests receive outstanding service throughout their visit to the theater. Duties vary according to assigned areas such as the Box Office, Concession Stand, or Usher station, but all focus on maintaining a clean, welcoming environment and efficient operation of daily activities.
Team members at Regal must be dependable with regular and consistent attendance and are expected to uphold company standards including dress code and emergency procedures. In the Concession area, the role includes operating POS systems, managing cash handling responsibilities accurately, promoting loyalty programs like the Regal Crown Club, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. They are also tasked with up-selling to enhance guest satisfaction and theatre revenue. Additionally, if involved in alcohol sales, employees must meet legal age requirements and complete mandated certifications.
For ushers, duties include ticket handling, aisle management, enforcing MPAA ratings, assisting guests in finding seats, and maintaining auditorium cleanliness and security. Ushers play a key role in guest safety by conducting inspections for quality assurance and reporting any incidents or irregularities. Both concession and usher roles involve general cleaning responsibilities and support for daily opening and closing procedures.
Regal Cinemas offers competitive pay, currently starting at $16.90 per hour, combined with valuable benefits such as free movie passes, discounted concessions, and eligibility for a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching for employees over 21 after six months of service. The company promotes a culture of learning and growth, requiring team members to complete extensive training programs including sexual harassment and discrimination prevention, as well as specific Responsible Beverage Server training where applicable.
Overall, being a Team Member at Regal Cinemas is an excellent opportunity for those seeking a dynamic work environment where customer service skills, teamwork, and attention to detail are highly valued. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public, thrive in fast-paced retail and hospitality settings, and who are motivated by working with a team to create memorable guest experiences. Regal fosters a supportive workplace where diversity and inclusion are celebrated, with a focus on ensuring every team member is equipped to succeed and grow within the company.
