The position available is a full-time Theatre Manager role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of theater operations to ensure smooth and effective business functioning. The Theatre Manager directly impacts guest satisfaction by ensuring timely and quality concessions, efficient showtime scheduling, and adherence to all regulatory requirements including alcohol service if applicable.

The role involves comprehensive management duties, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation of employees, as well as administrative tasks associated with Human Resources. The manager supervises the technical operations related to projection and audiovisual equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning and maintained properly. This role requires acute attention to cost control, inventory auditing, and operating expense management, alongside maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Emphasis is placed on risk management, loss prevention, and emergency response to create a secure environment for team members and guests. The Theatre Manager also supports marketing efforts, promoting feature film engagements and handling guest relations with professionalism. Job Requirements

  • Two years of post-secondary education in business or two years management or supervisory experience
  • working knowledge of booth and projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation and related projection skills
  • must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol if duties include alcohol service
  • completion of required state or local training and certification for alcohol service
  • completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training
  • good public speaking skills
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • ability to perform calculations accurately and identify errors
  • strong problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • proficiency with PC platforms and basic office software including email, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • effective interpersonal and leadership skills
  • experience in supervising employees including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, rewarding, and disciplining
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • adequate vision including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of post-secondary education in Business or two years management or supervisory experience
  • working knowledge of all systems within facility in Booth and Projection technology including maintenance, programming, TMS operation and related projection skills
  • must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol according to state or local laws if assigned duties include alcohol sales/service
  • completion of any legally required state or local training and obtaining required certificate for alcohol service
  • completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Academy
  • possess good public speaking skills
  • effective oral and written communication with employees, vendors, and corporate staff
  • ability to listen effectively, respond clearly, and explain information
  • ability to perform calculations accurately and identify and correct errors
  • strong problem-solving skills including identifying issues, gathering data, evaluating alternatives, and implementing solutions with minimal supervision
  • proficient with PC platforms and basic office software including email, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • capable of operating copiers and other office equipment

Job Duties

  • Upholding and administering all Regal policies as outlined in Regal Policy Guide and Theatre Support Office directives
  • ensure all cash management policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • control concession inventory shortages and spoilage levels
  • hiring, training, developing, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and after conferring with Human Resources Business Partners terminating any employee
  • properly administering all applicable paperwork and upholding all company policies as they pertain to Human Resources
  • ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
  • supervising all staff positions including all projection and audio-visual equipment within the theatre, both hardware and software, as well as all applicable film handling and maintenance
  • control costs including direct operating expenses, purchasing and ordering stock and supplies, inventory and auditing processes
  • supervising theatre maintenance including building and grounds where applicable, performing minor repairs and obtaining qualified personnel for larger concerns
  • monitor janitorial staff to ensure the facility is cleaned to Regal standards daily
  • monitor risk management related to team member and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and handling, reporting, and investigating accidents
  • responsible for guest relations, marketing and promotions of feature film engagements, scheduling movie showtimes and timely delivery to proper channels
  • counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts including cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, and discount tickets
  • read and understand training materials covering anti-harassment and discrimination
