Job Description
Regal Cinemas is one of the largest and most well-known movie theater chains in the United States, renowned for providing an exceptional cinematic experience to millions of guests every year. As a leader in the entertainment industry, Regal prides itself on offering state-of-the-art facilities, advanced film technologies such as IMAX, RPX, and 3D premium viewing experiences, and a wide selection of concessions that enhance the movie-going experience. With numerous locations nationwide, Regal is committed to customer satisfaction, quality service, and community involvement. The company’s mission is centered around creating memorable moments for guests in a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment, which is supported by its team members who consistently deliver top-notch service and uphold company values.
The role of a team member at Regal Cinemas is multifaceted, catering to the unique needs of individual theaters and employee availability. Team members can be classified as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly employees. The primary responsibility across all positions is to ensure guests receive exceptional service, embodying the Regal mission and adhering to company policies. Team members have the opportunity to work in various theaters' departments, including the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as Ushers. This dynamic role requires versatility, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for guests.
In the Box Office, team members operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash, credit cards, and promotional tickets, and are tasked with accurately selling tickets while ensuring compliance with the MPAA rating system. They are also responsible for promoting premium viewing experiences and the Regal Crown Club loyalty program, enhancing guest engagement and overall satisfaction. Concession team members manage inventory, prepare and clean equipment, uphold food safety standards, and handle sales transactions with accuracy. They also promote loyalty programs and must comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and legal alcohol service where applicable.
Ushers play a critical role in guest assistance, managing ticket collection, crowd control, auditorium inspections, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the theater. They enforce rating systems, ensure a safe environment by monitoring for content and equipment issues, and provide auxiliary sales support within auditoriums. Across all roles, team members must perform general cleaning duties, manage emergency situations when necessary, and consistently adhere to the company dress code.
Regal Cinemas offers competitive pay rates for all positions, providing employees with valuable perks such as free movie passes, discounted concessions, and eligibility to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching once certain criteria are met. The employment opportunity is inclusive, with reasonable accommodations available to ensure all capable individuals can perform essential job functions. Prospective employees bring not only a dedication to the job duties but also strong personal skills including effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to perform under pressure. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 60 pounds, and visual acuity, all vital to maintaining the high standards of service expected at Regal Cinemas.
