Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology, or related field
minimum 2 years experience working with immigrants or refugees
minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role
proficiency in Word and Excel
strong written and oral communication skills
ability to build positive relationships with outside agencies
flexibility
ability to multitask
bilingual skills in Spanish, French, Arabic or Swahili preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Provide leadership, evaluation, and supervision of the RSS grant program team
meet with program participants to determine eligibility, conduct intake and develop service plans as needed
monitor the quality of program services and case notes and provide guidance to team members
develop and maintain a network with other community service providers
prepare programmatic reports including a monthly Salesforce report per grant standards
identify program needs and challenges and enact strategies
provide direct services to participants and make referrals as needed
attend programmatic meetings
develop and provide community outreach and informational sessions
assist in writing grant proposals for the RSS grant program
maintain relationships with partners including IDHS, Winnebago County Health Department, and Catholic Charities
work towards performance standards and hold staff meetings
attend trainings
maintain awareness of RSS grant program budgets
direct marketing, communication, and outreach of program events
act as a resource for agencies and employers
provide interpretation and translation if bilingual
show flexibility and understanding in dealing with diverse populations
accept additional responsibilities as requested
other duties as assigned
maintain regular attendance
