Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in sociology, psychology, or related field
  • minimum 2 years experience working with immigrants or refugees
  • minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role
  • proficiency in Word and Excel
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • ability to build positive relationships with outside agencies
  • flexibility
  • ability to multitask
  • bilingual skills in Spanish, French, Arabic or Swahili preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership, evaluation, and supervision of the RSS grant program team
  • meet with program participants to determine eligibility, conduct intake and develop service plans as needed
  • monitor the quality of program services and case notes and provide guidance to team members
  • develop and maintain a network with other community service providers
  • prepare programmatic reports including a monthly Salesforce report per grant standards
  • identify program needs and challenges and enact strategies
  • provide direct services to participants and make referrals as needed
  • attend programmatic meetings
  • develop and provide community outreach and informational sessions
  • assist in writing grant proposals for the RSS grant program
  • maintain relationships with partners including IDHS, Winnebago County Health Department, and Catholic Charities
  • work towards performance standards and hold staff meetings
  • attend trainings
  • maintain awareness of RSS grant program budgets
  • direct marketing, communication, and outreach of program events
  • act as a resource for agencies and employers
  • provide interpretation and translation if bilingual
  • show flexibility and understanding in dealing with diverse populations
  • accept additional responsibilities as requested
  • other duties as assigned
  • maintain regular attendance
