The Refreshments Operator II role at Aramark is integral within its Service Beverage Equipment (SBE) division. This position focuses on maintaining the quality and availability of refreshments at customer sites by ensuring products are well stocked, fresh, and equipment is operating effectively. The role demands a high degree of customer service orientation, where the operator not only manages inventory but also actively engages with customers, informing them of new offers and attending promptly to equipment maintenance and repairs. Operators are expected to handle daily logistics, including order placement, delivery, stocking, and invoicing, relying on technology such as laptop systems to manage stock and communicate with management. The role is hands-on, involving physical tasks such as lifting and cleaning, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Beyond the operational tasks, the Refreshments Operator acts as a brand ambassador for Aramark, establishing and maintaining productive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. The operator monitors competitor presence and customer feedback, providing insights to management to support continuous improvement. This role also requires adaptability and responsiveness to changing business needs, sometimes necessitating travel and flexible scheduling to support multiple locations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a position requiring interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Physical ability to lift packages up to 50lb
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Willingness to travel to other locations on short notice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a position requiring interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Client interaction, communication, organization/time management are critical to the success of this role
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing demands
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Physical ability to repeatedly lift packages, up to 50lb (drinks and snacks)
  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Must possess the ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Must be willing to travel to other locations to assist with short notice
  • Role requires frequent bending, keying/fingering, hearing, speaking, and lifting
  • Role requires constant reaching, seeing, standing, and walking

Job Duties

  • Unload and stock daily inventory at customer site, ensuring freshness of products by monitoring date codes
  • Manage the ordering, delivery, and stocking of items at client location
  • Communicate with customer's employees about new product interest
  • Use a laptop computer to manage stocking PAR levels, product orders and client invoicing
  • Perform repairs to best of ability
  • Call in orders and service calls to head office
  • Distribute promotional materials and merchandise complete product line
  • Clean equipment and exchange decanters on each visit
  • Communicate with Route Sales Manager or General Manager regarding customers and report on pending problems or on evidence of competitors in customer locations
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship and liaison with customers to project a positive image of the company and product
