Job Description

Concacaf, the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football, is the official governing body of football in the North American, Central American, and Caribbean region. As one of FIFA's six continental confederations, Concacaf is responsible for developing, promoting, and managing football activities across 41 national associations. These associations range geographically from Canada in the north down to Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana in the south. Concacaf plays a critical role in organizing regional tournaments, establishing developmental programs, and fostering the growth of the sport in one of the world's most diverse and passionate football communities. With its headquarters located in Miami, Concacaf serves a vibrant and broad football landscape, nurturing talent, and overseeing officials and refereeing standards in the region.

The Refereeing Services Coordinator position, based at Concacaf Headquarters in Miami within the Finance and Administration Division, plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Refereeing Department's events and activities. Reporting to the Team Services Manager, this role is critical to the execution of logistical and operational aspects surrounding refereeing services in the organization. The position demands a highly organized, proactive individual capable of managing multiple priorities to coordinate travel, hospitality, vendor relationships, and event logistics efficiently from start to finish. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate travel and event databases, executing detailed operational plans, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and budgets, and providing operational support before, during, and after events.

In addition to the core duties of event logistics and travel coordination, the Refereeing Services Coordinator supports cross-departmental collaboration and participates in continuous process improvement efforts, including leveraging technology and innovation to optimize operational workflows. This role requires interacting with various internal stakeholders and external vendors, executing contractual and financial reconciliations, and providing excellent client-service orientation to meet the high standards expected in a world-class football organization. The position also entails after-hours and on-site event support as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the sports industry.

Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Sports Management, or a related field, combined with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably involving sports teams and refereeing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with event management tools like Cvent, and familiarity with financial software such as Microsoft Great Plains are advantageous. Strong communication skills in English and either French or Spanish are required, with Dutch language skills considered a plus. Flexibility for travel, approximately 40 percent internationally and domestically, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams are essential.

Concacaf values integrity, professionalism, and inclusivity, offering competitive benefits and equal employment opportunities. A career as a Refereeing Services Coordinator at Concacaf offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of football management in a dynamic, multicultural environment while contributing significantly to the development of the game in the region.
