This job opportunity is with a casino restaurant, renowned for providing a vibrant and dynamic dining experience within the bustling environment of the casino. The position being offered is that of a Host, a pivotal role in the front-of-house operations. The Host is the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests warmly and ensuring a smooth seating process. This job requires someone with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of handling various customer requests and personalities effectively. Together with greeting and seating guests, the Host coordinates with servers by informing them when guests are ready, and may also assist by serving or bussing tables when necessary. This role demands high standards of personal grooming and hygiene, as the Host represents the restaurant’s commitment to professionalism and hospitality. The Host must be people-oriented, courteous, and possess a thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s policies, daily menus, and specials to provide accurate information to guests.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous FOH restaurant experience strongly preferred
- Good verbal communication and customer relations skills
- Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities
- Must be people oriented and courteous
- High standards of grooming and hygiene
- Skill in handling customer requests and complaints
- Knowledge of restaurant and dining room policies and procedures and daily menus and specials
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Willingness to work shift hours including weekends, holidays and overtime
- Ability to perform light lifting such as moving tables and chairs
- Ability to work in a casino environment with exposure to cigarette smoke and noise
- Must follow safety precautions and requirements

Job Duties
- Acknowledges and greets guests
- Assigns guest to table suitable for the size of the group and escorts them to their seats
