The Patient Guest Services Assistant, affectionately known as a "Red Coat" due to the distinctive uniform, plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus. This highly visible position acts as a brand ambassador and resource for patients, family members, and visitors, ensuring a warm, caring, and comfortable environment. The role demands a caregiver who can provide empathetic care using the Communicate with H.E.A.R.T. model, greeting and welcoming guests while assisting with wayfinding, wheelchair provision, and minimal transport. This is a dynamic position that requires access to patient information systems to confirm appointment details and room locations, as well as providing concierge services such as helping guests find information about driving directions, restaurants, shopping, and amenities inside and around the hospital. The Patient Guest Services Assistant also collaborates with leaders to implement patient experience improvement programs, responds promptly to safety and emergency codes, and coordinates effectively across various departments to meet patient needs. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills such as Epic, Outlook, and other internal systems
- Two years of experience in a customer service role with at least one year providing face-to-face customer service

Job Duties
- Greet, welcome and assist patients, guests, and colleagues by aiding, providing campus directions, obtaining wheelchairs and providing minimal transport
- Access patient information to confirm appointment times, appointment locations and room numbers
- Provide some concierge services to assist patients and guests with accessing Internet information such as driving directions, restaurants, shopping, and amenities in the hospital and within the community
- Collaborate with leaders across the health system to design and implement improvement programs to enhance the overall patient experience
- Correct and/or report safety, maintenance, and cleaning needs
- Respond to Code Blue and Code Red emergencies with appropriate equipment
- Coordinate patient needs with other departments
