The Recruiter, Nursing & Allied role at AMN Healthcare is a dynamic and impactful position designed for individuals passionate about healthcare recruitment and talent acquisition. The primary responsibility involves sourcing, recruiting, screening, and placing highly qualified nursing and allied healthcare professionals on travel and contract assignments nationwide. Relationship management is a key focus, involving proactive communication and ongoing candidate engagement to foster long-term connections and trust.
Recruiters will also partner closely with account managers and internal stakeholders to collaborate on client openings, prepare candidates for interviews, and drive successful placements. This includes maintaining comprehensive and accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure compliance and streamline recruitment processes. Additionally, recruiters manage offer presentations, negotiate compensation and contract terms, and address any candidate concerns to align opportunities with their professional aspirations.

Job Requirements
- Associate degree preferred
- high school diploma/GED required
- 0-4 years of professional experience in recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, or account management
- proficiency with recruiting technology, ATS, and CRM systems
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to manage time effectively and organize workload
- capability to perform full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing
- ability to conduct cold calls and outbound prospecting
- strong relationship-building skills
- ability to negotiate and close offers
- must be able to work in office or home office environment
- ability to operate standard office equipment and computer keyboards
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree and 0-2 years of professional experience
- high school diploma/GED and 2-4 years of professional experience
- experience in recruiting, staffing, sales, customer service, account management, or relationship-based consultative roles
- experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- experience utilizing recruiting technology, CRM systems, ATS platforms, or candidate databases
- knowledge of healthcare licensure, certifications, and credentialing requirements preferred
- healthcare recruiting experience preferred
- travel healthcare staffing experience preferred
- experience recruiting nurses, allied health professionals, or clinical talent preferred
- experience working in a metrics-driven recruiting or sales environment preferred
Job Duties
- Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified nursing and allied healthcare professionals through outbound recruiting, sourcing, networking, referrals, phone outreach, email campaigns, and database searches
- develop and execute recruiting and marketing strategies to attract passive and active candidates
- maintain daily and weekly activity metrics to grow clinician networks and support assignment placements
- conduct phone interviews and consultative recruiting conversations to evaluate clinical experience, licensure, certifications, skills, availability, and assignment preferences
- assess candidate readiness and likelihood to accept travel opportunities based on qualifications, timing, mobility, and overall fit
- identify candidate motivators, career goals, and professional aspirations to recommend appropriate opportunities
- build long-term relationships with clinicians through proactive communication and ongoing engagement
- educate candidates on travel healthcare opportunities, market trends, compensation packages, assignment expectations, and AMN Healthcare benefits
- guide clinicians throughout the recruitment process from initial contact through placement and assignment completion
- maintain accurate and complete candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS), including contact information, qualifications, licensure documentation, certifications, compliance requirements, and activity notes
- present qualified candidates to Account Managers and collaborate on client openings, candidate submissions, interview preparation, and placement strategies
- partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely candidate submissions and successful placements
- discuss and negotiate compensation packages, assignment details, and employment terms
- address candidate concerns and objections while aligning opportunities with career goals and market conditions
