The ideal candidate will have experience working with the public, particularly senior citizens, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for this key demographic. This position requires flexible availability, including working Saturday morning shifts, to effectively support program schedules and facility operations.

The position is part-time and cannot exceed 980 total hours worked within one fiscal year, and it is a non-benefitted role, making it well-suited for those seeking flexible employment. The Senior Recreation Leader will oversee various responsibilities such as managing facility rentals, coordinating setup and teardown activities for events, maintaining standard operating procedures and training documentation, and inputting and managing program information using the City's registration system. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as the role involves assisting customers with registrations, refunds, transfers, and answering inquiries while continuously monitoring attendance and feedback to help improve programming. The position also requires supporting the preparation of reports and contracts and supervising staff members to meet program goals and objectives effectively.
