Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum two years relevant work experience
  • Preferred two years supervisory experience
  • Valid Class C Texas driver’s license or valid out-of-state license with three-year driving history
  • American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR and AED certifications within six months of hire
  • Certified Tennis Professional (USPTA USPTR or RSPA)
  • Certified Pickleball Professional (CPPR)
  • Master Racquet Technician (MRT) or Certified Stringer (CS)

Job Duties

  • Plan implement supervise promote develop market and evaluate recreation programs including large-scale events such as swim meets youth and adult games and tournaments and special event rentals
  • Coordinate and communicate with program participants supporters attendees volunteers and vendors
  • Interact with public and staff daily respond to inquiries address complaints grievances emergency issues assist patrons as needed
  • Serve as liaison and work with community organizations and volunteer associations regarding program development and expansion
  • Recruit train supervise and evaluate assigned staff such as sports officials seasonal camp staff lifeguards or volunteers
  • Manage contract payroll
  • Schedule facilities and appropriate activity supervision for programs in and outside of the tennis center
  • Maintain inventory and equipment for assigned programs
  • Set up and take down for programs update schedules and standings as needed
  • Oversee and assist with program registration including lessons leagues camps and tournaments manage class changes cancellations and refunds
  • Assist with front desk responsibilities including registration booking equipment checkout and cash handling
  • Coordinate facility rental contracts with user groups
  • Conduct tours of facilities and athletic sites
  • Enforce safety and behavioral rules perform CPR First Aid as required
  • Assist at special events within the department
  • Oversee tennis pro shop including inventory management and racket stringing services
  • Serve as tournament director for tennis and pickleball tournaments
