The position of Recreation Manager at Hotel del Coronado is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the resort's vibrant recreation operations. This role is pivotal in crafting memorable guest experiences by overseeing a variety of recreational activities such as pool and water sports, tennis tournaments, children’s programs, and special events. The Recreation Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations including guest service quality, food and beverage options associated with recreational services, marketing strategies, merchandising, reservations, budgeting, and reporting. A key element of this role is to maintain the highest standards of hospitality by promoting a welcoming environment and addressing guest satisfaction proactively.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in recreation management, hospitality, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in recreation operations or hospitality management
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and use reservation and reporting software
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in recreation management, hospitality, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing recreational operations or a similar leadership role in hospitality
- Strong leadership and team-building skills

Job Duties
- Oversee daily recreation operations including guest experience, food and beverage offerings, marketing, merchandising, reservations, systems, budgeting, and reporting
- Lead engaging programs and activities such as pool and water activities, tennis tournaments, children’s programs, and special events
- Enhance guest service delivery by monitoring service quality and guest satisfaction trends, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Inspire and develop the team by training, supervising, mentoring team members, conducting performance evaluations, providing professional development opportunities, and recognizing achievements
- Uphold regulatory standards by maintaining compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Manage recreation inventory and vendor relationships
