Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa, located in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands, is a renowned destination that blends the timeless magic of Disney with the rich culture and natural beauty of Hawaii. This exceptional resort offers guests a unique vacation experience that combines luxury, relaxation, and exciting recreational activities in a stunning tropical setting. Known for its world-class hospitality, Aulani provides guests with memorable moments through exceptional services and Disney’s signature storytelling. With impeccable attention to detail, Aulani caters to families, couples, and guests of all ages, making it a favorite destination for visitors from around the globe.
The Pool Deck & Beach Guest Service Host/Hostess is an important role at Aulani, responsible for maintaining poolside cabanas and providing outstanding guest service at various pool locations throughout the resort. The role is full-time with a competitive pay rate of $29.10 per hour in Hawaii. This position requires cast members to be energetic and proactive, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction at all times. Key responsibilities include staffing the Dive Shop, slide dispatch, and pool gates, and acting as a first responder to emergency situations, if necessary.
Cast members in this role are expected to greet guests warmly, provide information and directions regarding the resort and surrounding areas, and maintain the upkeep of cabanas to create a welcoming and safe environment. This role involves frequent walking, standing, bending, and physical activity in all weather conditions, including high humidity and extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors. The position is suitable for individuals who are enthusiastic about delivering excellent service, are responsible, mature, and able to handle repetitive tasks without sacrificing quality. Swim proficiency is required, and the role demands strong observational skills to detect and address guest needs and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
At Aulani, guest experience is paramount, and cast members play a vital part in creating a magical and memorable stay. This opportunity offers more than just a job; it provides a chance to be part of the Disney family, enjoy impressive benefits such as full healthcare coverage for employees and dependents, tuition paid upfront at network schools, free lunch, and parking, as well as access to free theme park admission. Full availability is required seven days a week, including holidays, weekends, early mornings, and late nights, reflecting the dynamic, guest-focused nature of the resort hospitality industry.
This role is ideal for individuals with previous experience in hospitality, especially in hotel or resort environments, and those familiar with Hawaiian or Japanese culture and languages. Preference is also given to candidates with experience in cabana or pool services who understand the resort and its surroundings well. The resort fosters a collaborative team environment where communication and guest engagement are key, and cast members are encouraged to give and receive feedback to grow professionally while making a positive impact on every guest’s experience.
