Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- one year of responsible experience in conducting organized recreational activities
- valid motor vehicle operator's license at time of application
- availability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to pass training and experience form evaluation
- proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent residence, or work authorization

- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- one year of responsible experience in conducting organized recreational activities
- ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public
- knowledge of public recreation principles and competitive sports rules
- ability to plan, organize, and supervise recreational activities and staff
- proficiency in computer and technology applications relevant to recreation
- ability to maintain financial records
- valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Directs and participates in the planning, organization, implementation, and instruction of recreational programs and activities
- directs operation of community pools, ice facilities, tennis or recreation centers, and outdoor athletic fields
- plans and schedules programs and classes
- collects facility fees and maintains accurate financial records
- maintains records and prepares operational reports
- interviews, selects, trains, assigns, schedules, and evaluates recreational staff and volunteers
- plans, organizes, and schedules special events, tournaments, and activities
- inspects recreation facilities for cleanliness and safety
- promotes and publicizes recreational programs and activities
- administers contracts for recreational services
- oversees concessions and staff operations
- provides event oversight and operational support
- manages computer lab and fitness room operations
