The Adventure Park at Nashville, owned and operated by Outdoor Ventures Group, is a premier outdoor adventure recreation company dedicated to promoting active enjoyment of nature through thrilling and engaging activities. The Park Monitor role is an integral position at the heart of The Adventure Park’s operations. Park Monitors serve as the crucial eyes and ears for the park, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests while maintaining the park’s high standards for service and operational excellence. They are responsible for a range of tasks from overseeing guest activities such as climbing and axe throwing to daily inspections of equipment and facilities, guaranteeing everything is safe and compliant with standards. The role requires individuals who enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions, have strong observational skills, and possess a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Park Monitors are tasked with coaching and guiding guests throughout their adventure, providing high-quality customer service, and handling any complaints or emergencies with professionalism and calmness. They act as frontline ambassadors, shaping the guest experience through friendly engagement and expert assistance. Under the supervision of the Park Operations Assistant Manager and Park Manager, monitors perform operational duties including opening and closing procedures, reservation management, and grounds maintenance when necessary.
This position offers flexibility with a variety of shifts available—seasonal, part-time, or full-time—catering to different candidate availabilities. The typical operating season stretches from early March through December, with preferred candidates able to commit for the entire season. Pay starts at $16 per hour and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights in all seasonal weather conditions
- Flexible schedule with weekday and weekend availability
- Ability to commit to full operating season from March 1 to December 1 preferred
- Willingness to abide by company policies and safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Comfortable working at heights in varying outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Previous experience providing high-quality customer service preferred
- Experience working with large groups in a professional setting preferred
- Climbing experience preferred but not required
- Additional experience in adventure tourism preferred
Job Duties
- Complete opening and closing park procedures including check-in and retail facilities and daily inspections of courses gear and grounds and reservation management
- Monitor climbers and axe throwers coaching and providing feedback including training and leading guests through check-in briefing harnessing aerial trails axe throwing and special events
- Actively engage with guests to provide high-quality memorable outdoor experiences and respond to guest needs
- Act as the first level of response for customer complaints course assists and emergency situations notifying supervisors and management and complete necessary paperwork
- Assist with park maintenance groundskeeping retail sales and marketing as needed
- Follow and enforce Outdoor Venture Group's policies and procedures including medical disciplinary facility and equipment use and emergencies while modeling desired guest behaviors
- Communicate personal staff guest course and supply needs to management and provide regular operational updates
- Perform other duties as assigned
