Job Description

Eagle Valley Children s Home is a dedicated organization committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children in need within the Eagle Valley community. Founded on principles of compassion and care, the establishment has been serving vulnerable youth by offering comprehensive residential services that focus on their physical, emotional, and social development. This institution recognizes the importance of creating a family-like atmosphere where children feel valued, empowered, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Over the years, Eagle Valley Children s Home has established strong partnerships with local agencies, community organizations, and educational institutions to enrich the resources available to the children it serves. With a team of passionate and skilled professionals, the home continuously strives to provide quality care and positively influence the lives of its clients by addressing their individual needs and supporting their unique journeys.

The position of Recreation Activities Assistant is an exciting opportunity at Eagle Valley Children s Home designed for an enthusiastic, dependable, and caring individual who is eager to contribute to the well-being and growth of children in a residential care setting. This role involves close collaboration with the Recreation Activities Coordinator, the Organizational Management Team, Direct Care Team staff, and community partners to coordinate and implement a broad range of meaningful and enjoyable activities. These activities are aimed at promoting client growth, independence, social skills, and overall quality of life. Working as a Recreation Activities Assistant means helping to plan and participate in recreational activities, community outings, special events, and skill-building opportunities that enhance the clients s life experiences.

In this capacity, the assistant will also support the Recreation Activities Coordinator by assisting in event planning, attending client meetings, reporting on client progress, and providing valuable insights to improve the recreation department s offerings. The role requires a flexible schedule, with options for a 40-hour or 35-hour workweek, both with regular day shifts and designated days off to ensure work-life balance. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.95 to $23.29, negotiable depending on experience, and welcomes candidates with a heartfelt commitment and a willingness to learn and grow professionally. Training is provided for the right individuals, emphasizing the home s core values of energy, creativity, and compassion in creating positive, engaging, and memorable experiences for the children.
