The organization is committed to a wide range of social services, including early childhood development, career training and planning, access to basic necessities and opportunities for farmworkers, HIV prevention education, and support for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. By joining UMOS, employees become part of a mission-driven, customer-focused team that actively contributes to fostering better futures for families and communities in need.

Under the supervision of the WHEAP Supervisor or Manager, the Receptionist / Screener is integral to the smooth operation of the program by handling scheduling, information requests, and clerical duties such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, and coordinating conference calls.

The position requires proficient use of technology, including phone systems, Microsoft Office applications, and various office equipment, to ensure efficient communication and data entry. The Receptionist / Screener is also expected to support new staff through training and technical assistance as needed, contributing to the team’s overall effectiveness and cohesion.

UMOS emphasizes a supportive work environment with an eye toward personal and professional growth, offering paid time off with incremental increases based on tenure, 15 paid holidays annually, comprehensive insurance coverage (health, dental, vision, life, disability, and accidental death and dismemberment), flexible spending and health savings accounts, employee assistance programs focused on well-being, and retirement options including 401(k) plans with employer contributions and Roth IRAs. The organization prioritizes diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunity employment and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions effectively.
