This role is vital as the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. Receptionists at Macon Road Veterinary Clinic are responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere to ensure clients feel valued and supported throughout their visit. The receptionist's duties include scheduling appointments efficiently, answering telephones promptly, and managing the intake process for new clients and patients. Additionally, receptionists handle preparing and maintaining accurate medical records, admitting and discharging patients smoothly, and managing prescriptions and over-the-counter sales. The role also involves administrative duties such as mail handling, filing, computer operation, financial transactions, and maintaining the reception and front office area. Receptionists must acquire and maintain pertinent medical and legal information necessary to perform their roles effectively, ensuring compliance and excellent service delivery. This position offers a dynamic work environment where interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities are paramount.
