Job Requirements
- Must live in CA, AZ, NV, TX, WA, or OR
- Hybrid work schedule with minimum two days onsite in Alameda County office
- Full-time availability Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time
- Ability to speak and understand designated bilingual language pairs
- Successful score of 90% or higher on bilingual proficiency exam required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of member and visitor data
- Tuberculosis test and vaccinations against COVID-19 and influenza may be required
- Ability to operate multiple line phone system and office equipment
- Ability to perform data entry and document management
- Physical ability for frequent sitting, data entry, and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ability to follow organizational policies, code of conduct, and safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of related receptionist or administrative experience
- Experience in a health care call center setting preferred
- Work experience in a health-related environment preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in designated languages with successful completion of proficiency exam
- Strong public and customer relations skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment
- Ability to type 40-50 words per minute
- Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and interruptions effectively
Job Duties
- Manage and cover the receptionist desk including answering and directing phone calls
- Greet and assist visitors, members, plan partners, and new hires
- Provide administrative support to the Operations Department and various other departments
- Process member portal requests such as demographic updates, ID cards, and PCP changes
- Maintain conference room calendars and coordinate mailings
- Operate multiple office equipment and software, maintaining databases and records
- Serve as backup for MS Support Services Specialist
- Coordinate access and support for vendors and facility-related services
- Maintain the appearance and organization of the reception and lobby areas
- Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and safety regulations
