Job Description

This opportunity is with a reputable company looking to integrate a part-time professional into their team who will serve primarily within the Sales and Parts Departments. The company operates in a customer-focused environment, emphasizing efficient communication and effective administrative support. The role is structured for part-time engagement, specifically 2 to 3 days during the week, from 2:00PM to 8:00PM, as well as every other Saturday from 8:30AM to 5:30PM. This position is vital in managing front office activities independently during weekends and facilitating smooth operational flow between departments.

The individual hired for this role will be instrumental in handling a variety of front office tasks including but not limited to operating the switchboard telephone system, managing customer inquiries, and processing payments. This will require a professional who can communicate proficiently, maintain a friendly demeanor, and provide high levels of customer service, ensuring that wait times on calls are minimized and that customers receive accurate basic information regarding general inquiries.

In addition to communication duties, the role involves important clerical responsibilities such as filing and scanning sales paperwork and title documents, tasks that require a well-organized approach and attention to detail. This individual will also assist the Controller with miscellaneous clerical duties, showcasing the role's versatile nature and importance in the administrative framework of the company. Job Duties

  • Operate switchboard telephone system
  • Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
  • Provide basic information to callers who have general inquiries
  • Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
  • Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
  • Handle filing and scanning needs of sales paperwork and title documents
  • Assist the Controller with various clerical duties as needed
