The role of Receptionist/Cashier at Russ Darrow Metro Mazda is designed as a friendly and dependable part-time position, primarily covering weekend and night shifts. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers visiting the dealership and those calling by phone. The position emphasizes welcoming guests with professionalism and courtesy, handling basic accounting tasks such as cash management and issuing receipts, and supporting overall office operations within the fast-paced dealership environment. Candidates for this role should possess a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and comfort operating switchboard telephone systems and handling cash/check/credit payments accurately. Experience with dealership operations and strong skills in Microsoft Excel are advantageous but not mandatory.

The job offers a work schedule that includes 2 to 3 weeknights with shifts from 3pm or 4pm to 8pm, and every other Saturday from 7am to 5pm. Job Duties

  • greet and assist customers in person and over the phone in a professional courteous manner
  • answer incoming calls determine the nature of the call and route callers to the appropriate department promptly
  • operate the switchboard telephone system efficiently and accurately
  • receive cash check and credit card payments issue receipts and make change accurately
  • perform routine accounting tasks related to accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • assist managers and office staff with clerical and administrative duties as needed
  • communicate clearly and professionally with customers vendors and internal team members
  • learn dealership departments procedures and internal processes to assist customers efficiently
