Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of secretarial, project management or other similar office based experience
  • bilingual Spanish and English
  • ability to read, write and speak Spanish and English fluently
  • self-motivated with willingness to work under minimal direction and supervision
  • experience using office machines such as phone, computer, copier
  • ability to work with a variety of people
  • must have ability to maintain confidentiality
  • must be willing to submit to and satisfactorily complete a criminal background screening and to comply with Diocesan Safe Environment policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of secretarial, project management or other similar office based experience with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • bilingual Spanish and English with ability to read, write and speak Spanish and English fluently
  • knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic Church
  • good verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal skills
  • prior experience in a multicultural setting

Job Duties

  • Answer all incoming calls and direct callers to the appropriate personnel
  • greet and welcome all guests to enter the reception area
  • ensure that vendors and visitors sign the Visitor log
  • sort all incoming mail into appropriate mailboxes
  • contact ministry personnel when their packages are delivered
  • assist with the administrative needs of other parish departments as directed by supervisor
  • maintains confidentiality as required of the position and work in a parish office environment
