Weatherly Inn is a distinguished wellness and senior care center dedicated to offering comprehensive support and services tailored to the unique needs of its residents. As a reputable establishment in the field of elder care, Weatherly Inn is committed to maintaining a compassionate and professional environment, fostering both quality care and an enriching community atmosphere. Focused on holistic well-being, the center embraces a multifaceted approach to health, ensuring residents receive attentive care that addresses their physical, emotional, and social needs.
The position of Wellness Center Assistant at Weatherly Inn is a full-time opportunity designed for individuals who are passionate about contributing to the health and happiness of seniors. Scheduled from Monday to Friday between 1:30 PM and 10:00 PM, this role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.57 to $22.00, reflecting the center's commitment to recognizing and rewarding dedicated staff members. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the team, supporting both administrative functions and resident care within a dynamic wellness environment.
In this capacity, the Wellness Center Assistant plays a pivotal role in facilitating seamless communication among residents, their families, visitors, and healthcare staff, ensuring that needs are promptly identified and addressed. The role demands a high level of organization, professionalism, and empathy, as the assistant is often the first point of contact for those entering the wellness center. Responsibilities include answering calls efficiently, managing front desk tasks, aiding in resident care by monitoring physical and emotional changes, and supporting caregivers by coordinating resident appointments and activities.
Candidates are expected to excel in multitasking and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding the facility’s standards for safety and cleanliness. They will be adept at recognizing changes in residents’ conditions and reporting them promptly to the nursing team. The role also involves maintaining detailed records, handling communication duties such as sorting mail and managing scheduling, and playing an active part in ensuring the facility operates smoothly day-to-day.
Beyond administrative duties, the assistant will contribute to the overall wellness and comfort of the residents by facilitating their participation in activities and appointments, thereby enriching their quality of life. This position requires someone who is physically capable of assisting residents, including some lifting and mobility support, as well as someone who values teamwork and a supportive work environment.
Weatherly Inn emphasizes continual training and professional development, with requirements such as Dementia and Mental Health Training to be completed within 90 days of hire. This commitment ensures staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in dementia care and mental health understanding, further enhancing the quality of resident care. Overall, the Wellness Center Assistant role is ideal for professionals who seek meaningful work that combines administrative proficiency with compassionate resident engagement in a supportive and inclusive setting.
