The Administrative Assistant position functions as the frontline representative of the facility, serving as the primary point of contact for all visitors and callers. The Administrative Assistant is expected to greet guests courteously and manage communications via phone with professionalism, ensuring prompt and effective responses aligned with company policies. The assistant must demonstrate solid understanding and execution of the department's goals, objectives, and procedural policies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

In addition to clerical competencies, the role demands excellent interpersonal skills to maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders. The employee will actively participate as part of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a collaborative and efficient workplace culture. Essential physical capabilities such as the ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours are necessary, as well as strong communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking English effectively.

Job Requirements

  • proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
  • ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
  • proficiency in all competency areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • ability to maintain professional working relationships
  • maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
  • understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and complete mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
