Job Description

Sanford Health is recognized as the largest rural health system in the United States, with a deep commitment to transforming the health care experience. Known for providing access to world-class health care in America's heartland, Sanford Health operates with a mission centered on improving the health and wellness of the communities it serves. This organization plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical services to rural and underserved populations, ensuring that individuals receive exceptional care close to home. Sanford Health leverages advanced medical technologies, a network of skilled healthcare professionals, and a patient-first approach to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple specialties and facilities nationwide.

As a part of the Sanford Health team, the role under consideration involves an engaging front-line position primarily focused on serving as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff within healthcare facilities. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment by greeting individuals as they enter the facility, understanding their needs or concerns, and guiding them accurately to their destinations within the complex. This position offers varied work shifts across multiple locations in the United States, providing flexibility and the opportunity to work in diverse settings within the healthcare system.

The responsibilities include answering inquiries and offering pertinent information about facility activities, department locations, office hours, and the whereabouts of specific healthcare employees. The role also involves logistical support such as scheduling patient appointments, managing appointment calendars, and possibly coordinating staff vacations within specific departments. Additional clerical duties might include collecting, sorting, distributing, or preparing mail, messages, and courier deliveries.

Sanford Health values candidates who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple administrative tasks efficiently in a busy healthcare environment. The position does not belong to a union and offers a salary range between $15.00 to $22.50 per hour, reflecting the organization's commitment to fair compensation. This is a salaried position with weekly scheduled hours varying as per facility needs, which suits individuals looking for dynamic work schedules.

Applicants are encouraged by Sanford Health's inclusive and equal opportunity employment policy. The organization is an EEO/AA employer committed to fostering diversity and supporting veterans and individuals with disabilities, reflecting the organization's inclusive culture. Those needing accommodations during the application process are invited to reach out via phone or email, reinforcing Sanford Health's support and respect for all prospective employees.

Overall, this opportunity with Sanford Health is ideal for individuals seeking to contribute directly to the positive experiences of those entering medical facilities while working within a reputable and expansive rural health system. The role is vital in ensuring smooth and efficient operations at the front desk, enhancing overall patient satisfaction and organizational effectiveness while being part of a respected health care leader.
