Carillon Senior Living is currently seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join their team on a PRN (as needed) basis with an hourly pay range of $13 to $15. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the high standards of hospitality and service the community is known for. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, staff, and vendors, embodying the community's commitment to warmth, respect, and professionalism.

The role involves managing a variety of clerical duties with attention to detail and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering and directing incoming calls, providing information and assistance, handling delivery packages, preparing maintenance work orders, and supporting various projects and assignments within the community. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain calm and composure in difficult situations to prevent escalation. Beyond administrative tasks, the Receptionist contributes significantly to the resident experience by greeting everyone warmly and ensuring the community's image reflects care and professionalism.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum six months office or clerical experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills including telephone, oral, and written
  • Skilled in using all business machines and personal computers
  • Ability to manage multiple routine tasks and follow instructions carefully
  • Capable of maintaining a professional demeanor and handling difficult situations effectively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least six months office or clerical experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Excellent telephone, oral, and written communication skills
  • Skilled in the use of business machines and personal computers
  • Ability to handle multiple routine tasks with specific and general instructions
  • Demonstrated professionalism in conduct and appearance

Job Duties

  • Answers and transfers incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Provides information, direction, and assistance to residents, staff, guests, and vendors
  • Receives and greets all persons entering the community warmly and tactfully
  • Manages delivery packages by accepting, recording, and notifying recipients
  • Prepares maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff
  • Keeps difficult situations from escalating
  • Opens and closes the reception desk and secures files, keys, and office equipment
  • Communicates messages and materials promptly to appropriate parties
  • Assists with projects and assignments as needed
  • Maintains ongoing telephone coverage
