Job Description

CHS is a well-established organization known for its commitment to fostering a welcoming and efficient environment for both its employees and visitors. As an organization that values professionalism and exceptional service, CHS places great emphasis on creating a positive image through every point of contact, especially at its corporate office. The company operates with a focus on providing comprehensive support across departments to maintain smooth daily operations. It upholds its mission, vision, and values by ensuring all staff members perform their duties with respect to cultural and socioeconomic diversity, and by fostering an environment of continuous learning and quality improvement.

The role of Receptionist at CHS is a vital position responsible for managing the reception area at the corporate office and serving as the first point of interaction for visitors and callers. This position entails handling general organization phone calls with professionalism and efficiency. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with flexibility required to cover morning shifts, ensuring the office opens and closes seamlessly and that meetings and events are supported effectively.

The Receptionist will greet visitors, answer inquiries, and coordinate meetings with appropriate employees, thereby playing a crucial role in maintaining smooth front office operations. This person will manage the telephone switchboard—answer calls promptly, route calls appropriately, take messages, and monitor voicemail—providing excellent customer service and communication at all times. Additionally, they will handle incoming and outgoing packages, maintain updated information about employees and reception procedures, and oversee meeting room scheduling across all CHS meeting spaces.

This role requires attention to detail to maintain neatness in the reception area, waiting room, and nearby meeting rooms. The Receptionist also provides oversight regarding front desk security and assists with emergency procedures, ensuring a safe workplace environment. They will act as a communication link for reporting facility issues and coordinate with other departments as needed to support various projects and events.

Morning shift duties include opening the office, setting up for meetings such as new hire orientations and executive sessions, creating signage, placing supply orders, and coordinating orientation lunches. Afternoon shift duties involve closing the office, cleaning up after meetings, ordering business cards, name badges, and floral arrangements, contributing to an engaging and positive work environment throughout the day.

To succeed in this role, the Receptionist must demonstrate cultural sensitivity, actively participate in departmental programs and training, and adhere strictly to CHS's code of conduct and policies. The organization values a strong knowledge base and staying current with job-related trends, fostering professional growth. This position requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with prior experience in switchboard operation or customer service preferred. The ideal candidate will be approachable, organized, and able to multitask effectively in a dynamic office setting, making a lasting positive impression on all who interact with the corporate office.
