This Clinic Receptionist position within MercyOne Health System is a full-time role working during the day shift, encompassing 40 hours per week. The receptionist's role is pivotal to the smooth operation of the clinic by providing a welcoming and efficient front desk presence. As a Clinic Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for greeting and guiding them with professionalism and friendliness. The position demands effective communication and organizational skills as you handle diverse tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient check-in, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments in compliance with clinic policies and healthcare regulations. Proficiency in navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other clinical software systems is essential for entering and maintaining accurate patient demographics and insurance details.
Your duties will also include answering incoming phone calls promptly and routing them appropriately to ensure patient inquiries and concerns are addressed efficiently. Embracing the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values, this position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and culturally sensitive environment within the healthcare setting. The Clinic Receptionist will be a motivated individual who demonstrates honesty, integrity, and empathy, inspiring trust and confidence among patients and team members alike. Training and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, along with mandated reporter abuse training, are necessary requirements to maintain compliance within the clinical environment.
